The Wide World of Sports was a popular TV show before the birth of ESPN. The show promised to capture, “…the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.” In other words, there is a lot of drama in the stories of sports figures such as Andre Agassi, Michael Jordan, Mickey Mantle, John Unitas and others.
